Sunday 9th June 2019 - Yarmouth Stadium - Non-Ford Back To Basic Bangers
Sunday 9th June saw the first Non-Ford Back To Basics session at Yarmouth where 51 cars were in action with loads of variety on display.
Heat 1 started with 931 Gladden holding off an attack from 97 Scott. 421 Hippo rolled and landed on all fours on the centre green. 28 Mayo Maker spun 691 Turner and ran into 81 Osborne. 621 Gruff spun 13 Burcham. 546 Leonard spun 97 Scott. 141 Snakey spun 502 Selfy for the lead. 995 Dean Emmerson took the win.
Heat 2 commenced with a big collision on the back straight which saw 915 Rumney go up in the air and 893 Huggins spin off track. 6 Ling spun 764 Gray who was collected in turn by 167 Meadows. 647 Wingnut pushed 666 Damo off onto the grass. 336 Fathead went in on the slowing 409 FastShed. 48 Grummy turned 495 Buzec left. 636 Planey spun 409 FastShed which also claimed 9 Titch. 9 Titch and 6 Ling collided in a big way on the back straight seeing 6 Ling catch a post. 33 Magic won and gave his trophy to a young fan in the crowd.
Heat 3 saw an Incarace draw determine the front row of the grid placing 56 Skiddy and 19 Smiley Joe at the head of the pack. The race started with 336 Fathead setting about 141 Snakey. 893 Huggins attacked 873 Roberts. 296 Harveydogg spun 931 Gladden who backed him up into the ropes. 7 Chunka delivered a shot on 303 Golden Brown. The Caister bend claimed several drivers including 81 Osborne, 101 Canham, 46 Grumpy, 748 Ginge and 48 Grummy. 385 Thurlow put away 296 Harveydogg. 621 Gruff tangled with 764 Gray and got stuck on him. 19 Smiley Joe attacked 56 Skiddy. 873 Roberts put 748 Ginge into 48 Grummy’s parked car. 666 Damo set about 19 Smiley Joe as 445 Leonard overtook 33 Magic for win.
The Final raised only 29 cars. 445 Leonard was the first to show as he set about 101 Canham. 621 Gruff spun 140 Scotty. 141 Snakey drove through 140 Scotty. 33 Magic spun 46 Grumpy and got stuck on him. 439 Sutty attacked 748 Ginge. 691 Turner gave a head on to the lame 421 Hippo along the back straight. 647 Wingnut attacked 7 Chunka. 647 Wingnut then continued his charge to attack 502 Selfy who rode up 97 Scott. 217 Bailey spun 19 Smiley Joe.
