B - How have you found your first year in the adults and how different was the jump from Juniors to Nationals?
S - A lot better than Juniors! For one I can have a crash and not get banned! I’m loving it and hopefully it’s going to get better!
B - Crashing is clearly something you prefer as has been displayed on many occasions - what makes you go for the crash instead of race for the win?
S - When I win a race it feels nothing like compared to putting a car to the cage or doing a car head on! All I want to do is just put a good show on for the crowd, and as long as they’re enjoying it, so am I!
B - That’s a pukka attitude to have! Obviously you’ve grown up around the racing, what were you early memories as a kid watching the bangers?
S - I grew up watching my dad and he has always been my hero but when I was younger my favourite driver was 09 Andy Holmes. I loved watching bears v stinkbridge. It was proper crashes and then handshakes - they were the bollox!

B - I bet growing up around Stinkbridge has had a massive impact on your attitude towards the racing nowadays! Is the aim to one day paint in their colours and be part of the team or are you focusing on doing your own thing at the moment?
S - They have always been the bollox! It’s a shame they don’t make more appearances in pink! I enjoyed watching them at Lynn! I’d love to one day be in them colours but at the moment I’m loving doing my own thing with my team mates!
Shaydy is part of The Outsiders team alongside the likes of 73 ‘Crucko’ Dean Cruckshanks, 399 Brendan Kavangah, 50 Simon West and 359 Danny Smith.
B - Obviously you’ve only been in Nationals for a short while, but what meeting has stood out for you the most?
S - It’s got to be the Skegness Micro meeting when they were with the Unlimited Teams Reunion last year. The Corsa D was a machine!

B - You were on it that day! What plans do you have once the race season resumes?
S - I think just mostly mondeo meetings. It’s definitely my favourite car I’ve raced. I’d like to get in a unlimited aswell at some point.
B - You’ve stated your dad and 09 Psycho as being your inspiration with racing but is there anyone else out on track that you admire at all?
S - My dad is my hero like I said above. I enjoyed watching him as a kid and I still do now! He’s one of the best in a unlimited in my eyes! He can have a crash when he needs to as well!
B - Before we conclude, is there anybody you would like to thank for the racing?
S - My dad, mum, Gary and all the other boys that do my cars in anyway possible. I couldn’t do it without you all!
