The Leading Lady - 186 Sophie Fasey
Sophie Fasey has quickly made a name for herself in the banger scene, as she looks to emulate a successful racing career much like her father, Leon, did as a previous Autospeed World Final winner piloting a Mk1 Ford Granada in 1990. Bryson caught up with Sophie, who at the age of 18, prepares for her first World Final.

C! - First of all, congratulations on qualifying for your first Unlimited World Final! Was this the aim at the start of the year?
S - My aim was to qualify for world final, at first I thought I was out of my depth but it all worked out in the end.
C! - Definitely! You raced a wide range of cars from the Micros to Unlimited's, including the Mk2 Granada Estate, and were successful in all. How did you find the continuous change in car class as opposed to the 1l you were used to in the Ministox?
S - Going from the Granada to the micra defiantly threw me a bit to start with. It's sure a step up from my mini (laughs)
C! - What's the game plan for the World Final?
S - Keep all 4 wheels on the car and keep it in the right direction
C! - Sounds like a good plan! What's going to be the car for the job?
S - Now that would be telling 😎
C! - Not even a sneak peak? That's a shame! Who would you like to see win if it isn't yourself?
S - 331 Boxer Jack
C! - Sometimes the winner gets the luck of the draw. What would be your ideal grid position?
S - Anywhere on the inside really.
C! - Lastly, is there anybody you'd like to thank?
S - My mum, dad, lewis, Ashley and the DWO boys without them I wouldn't have made it to world final.
